years and still i catch my nervous movements. emotions flow through veins and push blood to the cheeks. you hold yourself in like a bird confined to a bed of twigs. exhausted; tired of fighting through the clout. sneak looks, try to keep it to myself. feel banished to the silence and the close-lipped world of a starved society. press my back to the cold of the wall feel the floor give way beneath my feet. need words, raised voices, the impassioned passing of anger to guilt. have a heart too tired to hold-in childlike love. can’t you understand the beauty in the capture. the shiver of a whisper, a gentle passage of hand from hand. need need need. need eyes to move to mine, and those eyes to turn the corners of rosey lips. need attempts to warrant appreciation. need a glance to feel like the climax of a movie, and not an intrusion.
gosh, work-day get over with already.

So I was born today. At 9:30 a.m.’ish. I was supposed to be born earlier, but the doctor was late getting back from a golf game. Anyway, I thought it’d be cool to catalogue a few events that happened on the day I was born, not necessarily the year.
1981: NASA scrubs the first launch of the space shuttle Columbia.
1970: Paul McCartney officially resigns from The Beatles.
1925: F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, The Great Gatsby, is published.
1912: The Titanic sets sail on it’s maiden voyage from Southampton, England.
A couple important birthdays;
1951: Steven Seagal,
1936: John Madden,
1829: William Booth
So there you have, a small history of April 10th. Happy 24 years to me!
